President's Report 2016 AGM
21 November 2016
2016 has been another challenging but successful year for the Jewish Community Council of Victoria.
The JCCV continues to advocate for the Jewish Community in Victoria, and build on the existing strong relationships with State and Local Government, Government Instrumentalities, NGO’s, the media and the wider Victorian community, including its many ethnic and faith based communities.
The JCCV seeks to strengthen our community by implementing initiatives in the area of mental health and drug and alcohol abuse amongst young people, while continuing its emphasis on social inclusion. Holocaust commemoration remains one of the organisation’s core activities.
With fifty-five major communal organisations as affiliates, the JCCV represents and unites the mosaic of Jewish associations operating in Victoria.
