JCCV Directory/Diary

26 July 2010

Work is almost over on the 23rd edition of the JCCV Directory/Diary, which contains details of communal organisations, school term dates, Shabbat times and so much more valuable information for not only our community but the Victorian community generally.

The diary’s publication has become an icon in the community.  Since its inception it has proven to be extremely popular both within our community and in the general community.

The directory/diary is of enormous value to households and businesses and requests for the diary come from all over Victoria and Australia.

The JCCV distributes the directory/diary to politicians, political advisors, members of the police force, other cultural/religious community leaders, NGO’s and many others in Victoria. It is always enthusiastically received and represents another wonderful example of how the JCCV is liaising with so many within Victoria on behalf of the Jewish community.

JCCV President, John Searle noted that the 2011 edition should be available through the JCCV office, bookstores and newsagents prior to Rosh Hashana. Searle thanked Hilary McMahon who has professionally compiled this year’s directory/diary as she has for many of the previous editions. Searle also thanked other members of the JCCV staff including Julie Batty and Michael Goldberg who have been assisting McMahon with the compilation of the directory/diary.
