young achiever's scholarship programme
|
Through Jewish Care, this Scholarship Programme offers students in
Years 10 to 12 assistance in accessing both employment and educational
opportunities.
It is specifcally targeted at students who have a passion to succeed,
are financially disadvantaged, at risk of leaving school early or who
may be at risk of not achieving their full potential.
The Programme involves matching students to an appropriate mentor,
participation in monthly professional and personal development
workshops and a monetary allowance of $2,500. The Scholarship is awarded
for a duration of one year and the allowance is provided to assist with
educational and tutoring costs, and personal or professional development
activities.
Students have the option of re-applying for up to three years.
Students who meet the criteria may self-nominate or may be nominated by
another person.
